Prospective New Member Education Resources

Theta Tau joins GreekLifeEdu!

Theta Tau has just joined 30+ other greek organizations in adopting EverFi's educational program GreekLifeEdu. EVERFI’s online programs provide a comprehensive, year-round array of survey, education, and prevention resources tailored to meet the priorities/challenges of our Fraternity at the chapter or national level.  Theta Tau is said to have the lowest liability insurance rates in the Greek market – we hope that our significant investment in this initiative will keep it that way - and most of all, keep our members and friends safe.  Learn more about our initiative here.

GreekLifeEdu is an online program that addresses the critical issues of alcohol awareness, sexual misconduct, and hazing for incoming fraternity and sorority members.  By leveraging trends and incorporating multiple evidence-based learning theories, GreekLifeEdu achieves behavior change objectives and  helps members practice safer decision-making.  All student members, prospective new members, and pledges completes the GreekLifeEdu modules.  A significant part of the module is simply survey questions to which responses remain anonymous (though response data will be aggregated by chapter and/or region).  Having all members participate at the very start will enable us to create a baseline from which to measure future response results.

Theta Tau has partnered with EVERFI, whose mission is to help students address critical life skills such as alcohol abuse prevention, sexual assault prevention, hazing prevention and financial literacy in higher education institutions across the country. Each year over 700,000 students complete the
GreekLifeEdu course.  As part of a comprehensive prevention program for students, Theta Tau expects you to complete GreekLifeEdu. This online education will empower you to make well-informed decisions about issues that affect your college years & beyond. GreekLifeEdu is available now.

All student members and pledges are expected to complete the GreekLifeEdu module. A significant part is simply survey questions to which your responses will remain anonymous. It is vitally important that all current members complete the program since it will enable us to create a baseline from which to measure future response results.

The GreekLifeEdu module has been assigned by Theta Tau, not the college or university. In order to complete this course, you may need a second EverFi account if your school requires you to participate in other EverFi education modules. Put simply, everyone’s participation is needed to gain the most useful data.
