At LVC\, she oversees student engagement\, service and volunteerism\, spiritual development\, student conduct/title IX\, and division-wide assessment and planning. Previously\, she has worked in career services\, drug and alcohol education\, and student conduct. Her research interests include exploring college students’ experiences with student conduct programs through a narrative inquiry lens. Sarah is an active member of the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA) and currently serves on their Board of Directors. When she is not working\, you can usually find her reading a psychological thriller\, snuggling her rescue babes Foster and Phoenix\, or taking pictures of wildlife.

Join consent enthusiasts Emilee Danielson Burke\, Theta Tau Director of Programming and Stephanie Erdice\, Associate Director of the Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault\, to learn how to not commit sexual harassment and sexual violence. \nParticipants will leave with an understanding of what consent is\, why it’s mandatory\, how to ask for consent\, and how to safely intervene when you see someone needs help. \nPre-registration is required at this link. \n \nABOUT THE PRESENTERS: \nStephanie Erdice began her role at the Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault as the Chief of Programming in October of 2018 and took on the role of Associate Director in February of 2022. She has primary responsibility for developing program standards; managing MCASA programs that support rape crisis centers and the Sexual Assault Legal Institute (SALI); and ensuring new policies\, laws\, and perspective continue to be incorporated into existing programs. She is an intersectional feminist with a decade of experience in direct service work with survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner abuse. Before beginning her work at MCASA\, she was the Director of the Shippensburg University Women’s Center and a long-time volunteer at Women in Need of Franklin and Fulton County in Pennsylvania. In these roles she provided education and prevention workshops\, produced large-scale awareness events and provided support to individual survivors through medical and legal accompaniment and emergency crisis intervention. \nEmilee Danielson Burke (she/her) is an experienced fraternity/sorority professional who honed her skills at both a university and fraternity headquarters. Emilee spent seven years on the staff of Theta Xi Fraternity\, most recently as Director of Standards and Accountability\, and previously as Director of Chapter Services. Prior to her work at Theta Xi\, Emilee spent 10 years as Associate Dean of Students and Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life at Shippensburg University. \nEmilee has published numerous articles in the higher education space and presented/facilitated in several forums\, including presentations at the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors annual meeting. As a volunteer\, she has advised chapters of the Delta Zeta Sorority\, the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity\, and has facilitated the Ladder of Risk program. \nEmilee holds a BS/BA in Communication and History and a master’s degree in education from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania\, where she joined the Delta Zeta Sorority. She is an avid reader\, podcast listener\, fiber artist\, and is developing her home improvement skills one power tool at a time. Emilee lives in Erie\, Pennsylvania with her husband\, Tom and two very spoiled cats Gigi and Finn.

This set aside will be prorated for new chapters installed during the biennium reflecting the number of terms that they paid dues at the chapter member rate instead of the Candidate Chapter member rate. The most efficient use of these funds is up to each chapter\, but they must be used for Convention-related expenses (Convention Registration\, lodging at designated host hotel during Convention dates\, travel/transportation\, meals\, etc.) for Delegate\, Alternate\, and other student members attending Convention). Remote attendees may only request reimbursement for the cost of their registration.  Disbursements will only be made to the chapter\, not to any individual. \nReimbursement will only be issued after the following have been completed: \n\nThe Convention Reimbursement Form must be submitted in the CMT and verified by the chapter’s Regent and Treasurer (this is all done electronically to eliminate wait times.)  The form must include receipts.\nThe Grand Scribe of their designee will submit to the Central Office a record of attendance at Convention.  Chapters who were not in attendance for the requisite meetings will not be reimbursed.\n\nReimbursement will be made as a credit on a chapter’s account prior to the beginning of the academic year.  If a chapter prefers the reimbursement to be made by check\, that option must be selected on the form.  Please note that a physical check will deduct $1 from your reimbursement. \nExclusions from Reimbursement: \n\nFraternity funds cannot be used to purchase alcohol; purchases of alcohol (such as with a meal) will be deducted from your reimbursement.\nLate fees are excluded from reimbursement.  We will reimburse only up to the regular registration amount  for Convention registration.  If you register late\, you are responsible for the extra cost.\nExcessive/ostentatious sums for travel (such as upgraded airfare\, hotel suites\, unreasonable costs for meals) will not be reimbursed.  It shall be at the discretion of the Central Office\, with the oversight of the Grand Treasurer\, to make such determinations.\n\nReductions from full Reimbursement:\nA chapter must have a Delegate or Alternate in regular attendance at the National Convention to receive full reimbursement.  Deductions will be made linked to the percentage of time that is missed; 20% absence will result in a 10% penalty\, 30% absence will result in a 20% penalty\, etc\, up to 50%.  Above 50%\, the percentage missed will get the same percentage penalty.  Chapters who attend less than 25% of Convention will not be reimbursed. \nChapters that violate the Convention Risk Management Policy may be penalized up to 100% of their reimbursement at the discretion of the Grand Regent. \n\nWhat is Convention?Jim Gaffney2022-08-22T18:38:04-04:00What is Convention?The biennial (every other year) National Convention is where the Executive Council is elected\, where legislation is considered and where brothers from across the country\, and across the years\, come together to enjoy fellowship.  Convention typically takes place in a hotel or resort over a period of four days.  Each chapter is required to send a Delegate and an Alternate to represent the chapter’s members and exercise the chapter’s vote. \n\n
