Colby Stevens

Atlantic Regional Director

Mississippi State University, Kappa Beta Chapter

BS Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Class of 2024

What do you do in your current role?

In my current role as a Regional Director (RD), I work as the Fraternity’s first line of contact with chapters and serve as chapters representative to the fraternity outside of convention. If a chapter has a question, needs help, or needs someone to talk to, I’m there to help and offer perspective.

What are three words that best describe you?

Sarcastic, authentic, eclectic

What does life look like outside of Theta Tau?

Life outside of Theta Tau is a bit wild. I’m an electromagnetics engineer for a small company called the US Navy. So, I spend a significant portion of my time on the road and on ships doing work. It’s super rewarding work that keeps life interesting.

Outside of work I love to spend time cooking, baking, and traveling up and down the east coast.  I’m also currently learning to sew and make clothing as a good way to decompress.

Why did you volunteer after graduation?

I wanted to volunteer to give back to a fraternity that gave so much to me while I was in college. I met lifelong friends while I was a student member at Kappa Beta Chapter and when I attended the National Convention in Louisville. I knew about 5 hours into the Lexington Convention that I wanted to give back to Theta Tau in some way. In 2025 I was reached out to by several brothers who asked me to apply to volunteer and it’s been an amazing experience ever since.

What do you wish people knew about your role?

RDs are here for YOU!!! I am not just the national officer who talks to your regent. I am here to help ALL students, with or without an office. Don’t ever hesitate to reach out to your RDs for assistance.
