Paige Waters

Atlantic Chapter Support Assistant

Clemson University, Lambda Gamma Chapter

BS and MS of Civil Engineering, Class of 2023

What do you do in your current role?

My role is to fulfill the needs of the Atlantic region in accordance with the needs of the Regional Director. This has included helping students plan the regional conference hosted this spring as well as working with chapter leadership to support their local operations.

What does life look like outside of Theta Tau?

I work as a structural engineer in Greenville, SC where I design commercial and industrial buildings and related structures. On weeknights I enjoy reading, running, and playing softball with a team of Theta Tau alumni!

Why did you volunteer after graduation?

Attending numerous regional conferences, National Convention and Leadership Academy as a student, I saw firsthand the impact that volunteering has on the student experience. Theta Tau wouldn’t be possible without the alumni who volunteer their time to support students and ensure that they have an experience that is just as meaningful, if not better, than their own.

What do you wish people knew about your role?

While this is a newer volunteer role, being a chapter support assistant is a great entry to the volunteer space in a role that feels familiar to many alumni – working directly with students. CSAs have a unique opportunity to learn about chapter support, gain experience working within a specific region, and support students directly.
