About Alex:
Alex Chan is the Fraternity’s Grand Treasurer. He previously served as the National Director for Professional Development, the Vice President of the National Alumni Club, as a member of the National Convention Committee, and as his chapter’s Vice Regent, Scribe, Inner Guard, and Outer Guard.
Alex is currently a Product Manager with JPMorgan Chase & Co. based in Dallas, TX. He previously worked for American Airlines as a Program Manager for Security Innovation, a Sr. Project Manager for Vendor Management and Business Analysis, a Business Testing Lead for Passenger Service Systems Integration, and a Lead for Strategic Operations. Prior to his tenure at American, Alex served as a Supervisor for Airport Operations at United Airlines and a Supervisor for Internal Audit at Six Flags.
Aside from volunteering with Theta Tau, Alex also volunteers with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. He previously served as the Branch Chief for Program Strategy in the C-Directorate and is a qualified boat crew member for surface operations where he has received the Coast Guard Unit Commendation and twice received the USCG Meritorious Team Commendation with Operational Distinguishing Device. He also enjoys snowboarding, traveling and diving when he gets the chance.
Alex is a member of the Class of 2011 at Xi Gamma Chapter (Texas A&M University), where he studied Nuclear Engineering before shifting over to Tourism Management. He has received certifications as an Agile Project Manager, Agile Product Owner, Six Sigma Champion, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and Safety Management Systems (SMS) Leader.
