At the 2025 Theta Tau National Convention, chapters and brothers from across the country were recognized for their submissions and performance as members of Theta Tau. These awards honored the hard work they put into the day-to-day work of our organization. They have demonstrated exemplary work in their respective categories.

Recruitment Awards

Grand Regent’s Award – Pi Delta, University of California, Irvine

This award recognizes a chapter that best embodies the spirit of the Fraternity. The Schrader and Founders awards recognize performance based on metrics, which leaves out chapters that may, for various reasons, struggle to overtake the highest-performing chapters in the metrics. This award is given to a chapter that is in good standing, does not have an unarranged balance with the Central Office, and is not receiving either Schrader or Founders. This award is chosen by the Grand Regent based on nominations from Regional Directors.

Founder’s Award – Chi Beta Chapter, University of Toledo

This award recognizes a chapter in good standing with the fraternity that demonstrated the largest improvement in points from one convention to the next. Points are accumulated from a variety of checklist items including but not limited to hosting and attending events centered on professional development, community service, and brotherhood. The recipient chapter has demonstrated exceptional improvement to their engagement with their community and Theta Tau.

Schrader Award – Chi Chapter, University of Arizona

This award recognizes the chapter with the highest overall Annual Report Score over the biennium, as calculated in the Chapter Management Tool (CMT). This top score reflects a chapter that is highly engaged with each other, their community, and the national organization. Points are accumulated from a variety of checklist items including but not limited to hosting and attending events centered on professional development, community service, and brotherhood.

We are pleased to present the Robert E. Pope Outstanding Student Member Award to Caroline Corbin from Tau Beta chapter at Southern Methodist University. Named for the Fraternity’s long-term executive director, this is our Fraternity’s highest honor for a student member.

Each year, in order to recognize a deserving Brother, each chapter is to choose an Outstanding Student Member. While the choice honors the Brother, more importantly, it promotes the welfare of the chapter by holding up a model for other chapter members. In selecting their OSM and recording their selection to the National Fraternity, they are also nominating their chapter OSM for the Robert E. Pope Outstanding Student Member Award.

2025 Volunteer of the Year– Jon Vincent, Mu ’16

Thanks to his efforts, our alumni were able to connect on cruises, ski trips, and socials throughout the biennium. This award is given annually to a national volunteer who has demonstrated exceptional work. The volunteer is chosen by the Executive Council based on nominations from National Officers or Central Office Staff.

Commendation – Vincent Chao (Sigma Delta, ’16) and Saul Manzano (Chi, ’21)
For having rendered significant service to the Fraternity as Southwest Regional Directors. In addition to their official duties overseeing the chapters in their care, they devised and championed the development of the Engineering Challenge Program in their region, a project we hope to expand in the future. Their work to develop this program shows a spirit of innovation and determination that is in keeping with the best traditions and highest ideals of the Fraternity.
