Theta Tau is an organization that is run primarily through the efforts of alumni volunteers.  Volunteers, who receive no compensation for their work, fill a variety of roles within the organization, from serving on committees to overseeing entire regions of the Fraternity.  The following brothers have recently been appointed as national volunteers:

Stephanie Ruswick (Theta Gamma, ‘08) has been appointed as a Central Regional Director. Brother Ruswick is a flight director at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) at the University of Colorado. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She started volunteering for Theta Tau in May 2024 and looks forward to starting fresh this Fall with her region.

Allison Meier (Iota Gamma, ‘24)  has been appointed as a Great Lakes Regional Director. Brother Meier received her computer engineering degree from the University of Cincinnati, and is currently training in the Digital Technology Leadership Program (DTLP) at GE Aerospace.

Alexander Nguyen  (Xi Epsilon, ‘19) has been appointed as a Midwest Regional Director. He is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach. Brother Nguyen works as an engineer for Benchmark Secure Technology and as an IT Consultant for WinC.

Emily Liss (Tau Beta, ‘23) has been appointed as a Southeast Regional Director. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University. Her background in computer science has led her to work with Starship Technologies as a fleet attendant for their campus robots. She attended the last convention as a delegate for Tau Beta Chapter and looks forward to starting her experience as a national volunteer.

Alira Coffman (Theta Zeta, ‘21) has been appointed the new Editor-in-Chief of The Gear. She is a graduate of both University of Nevada, Las Vegas (B.A. Computer Engineering) and Western Colorado University (M.A. Publishing). She works as a Lead Software Engineer for Kenect and is the CEO and founder of her own publishing company, Wren Writing. Her experience in writing and publishing have made her the perfect candidate to take over our fraternity’s flagship publication.

Justin Klingenberger (Rho Gamma and Omicron Epsilon, ‘19) has been appointed as Professional Development Director. He has attended University of Central Florida and North Arizona University (BSE Mechanical Engineering), William and Mary (Master of Business Administration), and University of Virginia (Master of Engineering). He recently started a new position as a Graduate Research Assistant at Jefferson Lab. Brother Klingenberger previously served the Fraternity as Atlantic Regional Director from 2020 to 2022.

In addition to our recent volunteer appointments, some of our National Officers have transferred positions.

Kristin DiMichele (Xi Delta, ‘20) has moved from Atlantic to Great Lakes Regional Director.

Kierra Schau (Upsilon Gamma, ‘22) has moved from Midwest to Mid-Atlantic Regional Director.

The fraternity appreciates their flexibility and motivation to continue making Theta Tau a better organization across the country. Their experience is invaluable and they are excited to make an impact in their new regions!
