Andrew Blanchard (he/him) was initiated in Fall 2011 to the Xi Beta chapter at Lawrence Technological University where he studied Computer Science. He later graduated from the same university with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with concentrations in both Game Software Development and Scientific Software Development in 2017. During his time as an active member of Xi Beta he served in numerous leadership positions due in part to the small size of the chapter being at 9 members less than a year after initiation. Over a period of 11 active semesters with the chapter he held Regent, Vice Regent, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary, Marshall, Inner and Outer Guards, as well as various committee chair positions including brotherhood and recruitment. In his time as a chapter leader and recruitment chair he brought membership back up to 30 members before leaving the active brotherhood behind to continue volunteering at the national level. At the 2016 National Convention, Andrew was appointed to the introductory Student Advisory Committee as well as being recognized as the Outstanding Student Member of Xi Beta. Serving as an assistant regional director to Lindsey Carr in the Great Lakes region during his final active semester; he continued to serve the fraternity post-graduation as Great Lakes regional director starting in 2018 before being appointed to the position of Chapter Support – National Operations Manager in 2020. Following the 2021 National Convention in Tampa, Florida, Andrew was elected by acclamation to the position of Inner Guard where he currently serves to assist the national organization.
Andrew retired from the Council following the 2023 National Convention and now serves the Fraternity as a National Operations Manager for Chapter Support.
