Jean-Marc Cassier is an alumnus of Psi Gamma Chapter at Virginia Tech, where he graduated with a degree in Computer Science in 2019. After getting involved on the Volunteer Committee following graduation, he was appointed Atlantic Regional Director in October 2020 and briefly served as interim Mid-Atlantic RD for the Fall 2021 semester to cover a vacancy. He has also been a member of the Gear and DEI Committees as well.
Since graduation, Jean-Marc has been working as a software engineer at Capital One, where he completed the Technology Development Program (TDP) for students and graduates in February 2022. From 2020-2021, he was a member of the TDP Council in Richmond, co-chairing the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee where he worked on initiatives and opportunities to create an inclusive environment for his peers. He is also set to complete a Master of Human Computer Interaction from Iowa State University in December 2023, which he hopes to leverage to create innovative technology with the best user experience possible. Outside of work, Theta Tau and his studies, Jean-Marc has been an avid cellist for over a decade and continues to play in his free time.
