Allison Pollard (Tau Beta, ‘05) has dedicated her career to empowering and engaging the leadership potential in engineers. She has been inducted for her exceptional service to Theta Tau and to the profession of engineering.

While in college, Brother Pollard received the 2003 Robert E Pope Outstanding Student Member award for her exceptional service to her chapter and the fraternity. She attended every regional conference and national event she could to connect with brothers across the country. After graduation she played a pivotal role in the creation and organization of the Dallas-Fort Worth Theta Tau Alumni Group, and was a founding member of the National Alumni Club. She also participated in the web committee, coordinating technological efforts to propel efficient Fraternity operations and engaged fellowship. She volunteered her time as Editor-in-Chief of The Gear for six years (2008-2014) before volunteering with the Theta Tau Educational Foundation. Her commitment to communication and connectivity has stamped a lasting impact on Theta Tau. Through her efforts, our fraternity has remained connected during a period of extensive expansion and modernization. 

“Allison is an inspiring leader who ignites the spark within others,” said Grand Vice Regent David Parker (Lambda Gamma, ‘15), “From establishing the National Alumni Club, leading numerous Leadership Academies, and leading the Gear as Editor-in-Chief, she has demonstrated her ability to unite and educate diverse groups of leaders. She has sparked meaningful discussions that have shaped the future of Theta Tau, and has advocated for the voices of hundreds of engineers.”

Brother Pollard graduated with a triple major, English, Math, and Computer Science,  from Southern Methodist University. She started her career as a project manager for Segnant Technologies and held the same position later at Credit Solutions, USFI, and GameStop. 

She worked as Technical Director for Improving, a technology management and consulting services firm. Brother Pollard is the current Program Director – Mentorship for Women in Agile. Brother Pollard started the mentorship program at Agile to connect hundreds of women to learn more about the field. “We recognize the mentor experience,” said Pollard, “and it’s awesome to recognize women with leadership potential from all over the world. It was impactful being able to learn about these people, help them support one another, and make them feel a part of something that really matters.” Brother Pollard now works as a trainer, speaker and consultant for Helping Improve LLC, a business that focuses on helping businesses improve delivery and work relationships.
